Guide to County Communications
We understand that navigating local government can be complex. Here are our tips to ensure your voice is heard and your concerns are addressed effectively:
- Be Specific: Clearly state your request or concern in your communication.
- Facts, Not Feelings: The BOC makes decisions based on the facts. Provide them with as much relevant information as you can. What do they not know that you as a local resident can share?
- Stay Calm: Maintain a respectful tone to foster productive dialogue with elected officials.
- Use a Template Email: Not sure what to say? Use our template below as a starting place. Be sure to personalize it though. We've heard from the commissioners that letters that are just copy/pasted are less helpful.
